NBAA Orders 2021

I assume there will be some interesting orders at NBAA after a few quiet years.

First order is not a surprise given the popularity of the Phenom - I assume many of these are replacement for older units:

Any other predictions for other big Netjets orders at NBAA? Probably won’t happen due to the existing Global 7500 orders but would love to see the new Gulfstream G800 added to the lineup….

I don't know what older jets the Phenom 300E's would replace unless it's Excels. The Phenom's haven't been at NetJets all that long. I was flying them in 2017 when I went out on medical and had been on the jet since around 2015. It still had a lot of growing pains back then and I think had only been on the property since around 2014.

These are growth airframes so we can lift our hold on new sales.

That is incredible!

How many crews do they staff per airplane?

Never say never but I can't imagine NJ ordering the G800. Price point way too high and too small a market niche. The G400 on the other hand, if Gulfstream plays ball a little on price, that deal could have a sliver of a chance.

I wouldn’t consider any order right now a replacement for anything. NJ has made a conscious decision to hold on to airframes longer than they used to. There are several reasons for this, but generally speaking you should consider any new airplanes as growing the fleet.

I’m not saying NJ won’t ever dispose of aircraft, I’m just saying times have changed and they currently need every aircraft and pilot they can onboard. Good times…
