Logbook requirements
Hi folks,
I have not kept a logbook for over 20 years. I'm a captain at a major, multiple types including heavy, and would like to rebuild a logbook for post retirement opportunities.
What does NetJets want to see in a logbook?
I do have the last 6 years of flying downloaded from a database, and will keep current as I approach retirement.
Thank you all for any help in this regard.
PS; as a side note, I still have 9 years to retirement, but am contemplating leaving the airlines. I am really tired of 121 flying. Fortunately, I have a spouse that stands behind me 100% and have the luxury of being able to "downgrade" income in favor of a more fulfilling job.

I had 20+ years military flying, and almost 20 years of G/A flying (mostly light twins). I think they spent about 2 minutes thumbing through my logbook while chatting about other stuff. Unless you're close to their mins, I doubt it garners much interest. But YMMV

This was my experience. If you have an ATP, there isn’t going to be a great deal of scrutiny. However, if you are without an ATP (clearly not the case with you) and are near the mins, expect some due diligence.

My experience at the logbook review was very straightforward and went quickly, I have well over the mins, and if I were close to the mins I would have made sure to know my logbook intimately to efficiently find the info they need. They send a checklist/experience sheet for you to fill out ahead of time, so no surprises. I had previously painstakingly converted my paper logs to digital (ZuluLog). And for the interview I printed my entire logbook in color at OfficeMax and had it spiral bound, it was a bit expensive, but I can always add pages and rebind it later. And it’s nice to have a hard copy backup. The reviewer commented on how easy that made it for him to find what he needed.

Missing Logbook
I started flying when I was 15 and I switched from a small black sportys log as soon as I got my CFI/CFII. After the death of my father and a move by my mother from my childhood house my original logbook got lost (probably thrown away). I had started my new "professional" Jep log with my first ever flight after obtaining my CFI. Once I realized my logbook was missing I ordered my pilot records from the FAA which shows my flight time at the time I completed my 8710 to obtain my CFI Cert. I have a 2 complete logs since then. Does anyone for see any issue with this? The flight times match up, I just dont have all the log book entries for all my flight between first flight and CFI. It stinks because I would love to have that, but I dont see how this would be an issue, since my flight time matches that of my two other logs.
Side not I far exceed the minimums.

FAA 8710’s are official logbook backups so I wouldn’t think it would be an issue given how much time has passed and the effort you went through to get the FAA records. Just to avoid any surprises or to make sure you don’t need any further info, if you have an interview coming up I’d email your HR contact and explain it to them.
