Default Legacy out Praetor

Will the Embraer Legacy or Praetor ever come to NetJets?

Interesting question.... NJ already operates an aircraft with similar specs -- the Challenger 650.

The Challenger 650 has a larger cabin, slightly better range, and is much faster than the Embraer.

Your guess is as good as mine, but I don't recall hearing anything mentioning the Embraer as a contender.

Never say never…. But I would think we’d see the G400 before the Praetor.

The Praetor 500 is Midsize. The 600 is Super Midsize.

We already have the Latitude and Sovereign for midsize. The Praetor 500 has about a 500 more nm range than the Latitude. The pax love the Latitude and the company loves Textron.

Netjets has the Longitude and Challenger 350 for Super midsize. The 600 numbers are pretty close to the the Longitude. Based on the large Longitude purchase and fantastic relationship with Textron, I don’t see a Praetor 600 purchase in the future.

The other issue is the EMB service centers. EMB just has FLL and they can barely support the Phenom 300 with limited hours. Cessna can support Netjets 24/7 all over the US with several service centers.

I completely agree.

The G400 hits a perfect niche for NJ. Now, if only NJ and Gulfstream could work together again and the right price can be negotiated for the G400??? Things that make you go hmmmm.

Problem is, they won't enter service until 2025 and all our current Gs will be long gone to points west by then and we will have chased off our remaining Gulfstream loyalists.

A few months ago, I was optimistic. Then came the Amber announcement. I doubt we'll ever see the 400 now.

At least we have a place to flush “gently used” airframes in a way that won’t impact domestic flying. China is a great place to send them to drum up GLC business and crossings to Asia on our 7500, 6500, 6000s.

I think a G product would work well in our fleet offerings… if Gulfstream wants what NetJets is offering back in return. If it’s simply prove that’s an issue, I think we need to buy what the Owners want and mark it up as we need. If Gulfstream continues to think we lower their worldwide maintenance reliability numbers because we fly them harder than any other operator out there… we’ll, that’s a separate issue.

Some OEMs are just better at selling and dealing with small flight departments. Decent products and small visions. NetJets flirted with that concept once. I’m glad we got over it. It’s a big world and we now have big visions to go with it.

OEM partners that share that vision are needed, however.
