560XL Stock Headsets
Hey gang, I’m a new hire going to the Excel. First turbine.
I see in the MEL there are two headsets in the cockpit.
What are they? Do people use them?
I have my dc h10-60’s from 2006 that are still in excellent condition but they are a little heavy and bulky for commuting. Thinking ab springing for the u fly mike harmony and picking up a pair of qc35 series 1’s on a known auction website… seems like a pretty versatile kit.
Does TSO matter anywhere but Europe? Do the 560’s equipped headsets count for that, if TSO is req’d? Do I have to wear the TSO to be legal (or to be NetJets compliant), or just have it onboard? Not sure if UFM can do TSO on the 35s yet, but I want the Bluetooth for travel days. AirPods hurt.
TIA
PS I’m not buying an A20.

I wore DC's for in the Hawker and the G-II back in the day because they were wicked loud cockpits. I've been running the UFly QC-15 setup for more than a decade at NJ. The TSO issue has been mentioned ONCE in that time. Total non-issue in my experience including international.
Lots of opinions on which noise cancelling setup is the "best" but pretty much all of them are better than what is provided in the airplanes.
And welcome to the traveling minstrel show...

The provided headsets (in my fleet anyway) are Telex 750's.

Thanks!
How long does the juice last on QC15? That one cuts out completely if the batt dies, right? I do have rechargeable AA’s and two neat cheapl 6 pack plastic magazines for them from sir bezos. the QC15 is way cheaper on the Bay, but doesn’t have Bluetooth, tho the company did issue that 2.5mm jack dongle for the iPhone…

How long does the juice last on the QC15? When they die they go silent right? I have rechargeable AA’s and two six-pack cheapo plastic magazines from Bezosmart. QC15 is way cheaper on the Bay, no Bluetooth but that can be beat for the commute using the company issued iPhone 2.5mm dongle

The mic on my setup has been refurbished once (cost was only shipping) and stays right where it is supposed to. So the pilots who fly with me hate me for other reasons...
