Base-Specific Job Postings

What does it mean when NetJets is hiring for a specific aircraft in a specific base? There is a posting for a PIC job in a nice jet based where I live, with an in-base living requirement that I could meet. Is this a ploy to get me to apply and then place me in a seniority pool, from which I’d need to bid into this base and equipment? Is it really for an FO position with a PIC type rating? It seems like there is a catch I am missing.

That sounds like Executive Jet Management, owned by the same overall company, and not NetJets. NetJets biggest attraction for pilots is the ability to live in around 100 different bases.

Ahh, thank you. It is for EJM. Is there a section for EJM on this board, or perhaps anyone who works there who’d be willing to reach out?

EJM is a management company. The owners of the airplanes under management usually get to decide the pay and benefits so each individual airplane tends to be a unique job in itself. Some of the airplanes get chartered out and some are only flown on by the owner all depending on what the owner desires. You might be able to find some info in the charter section, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone know if KFRG is now a pilot base? The base list on the NJ website hasn't been updated since 2018.

Thanks

JC

FRG is not a base and likely never will be due to the lack of airline service.

Does anybody know if there is a reason that SLC is not offered as a base? It seems like it would be a no brainer base to have.

SLC is a crew base. I don’t know why it’s not listed on APC.
