From me and all my fellow pilots at NJA.

LoL now that's what we're talking about haha...

And for all y'all that think niceties are ridiculous, I have to wonder how you get through the day?! I don't know about you, but having a simple smile from the girl that serves me my coffee in the morning, or a howdy from a guy in the gas station makes all the difference in the world...Lighten up and live a little - we're all in this together!

So I'm just curious, NetJets folks, why no respect? Does it matter that you're not jumpseating, but paying passengers? You're in uniform. You're Pilots. Many of you are former RJ-Drivers...and besides, we're all flying these "little airplanes!" :D

We're just looking for the same respect we give you is all. Y'all don't have to kill with kindness, just a friendly nod of the head, shake of the hand...!

kinda the way we felt during our centract fight and years of shiitty pay. 121 and corp guys looking down on us everywhere we go. It sucks doesn't it. So excuse me if i dont go out of my way.

I don't talk to pilots...only flight attendants...:D

And if you would take that IPOD off and remove your backpack...and that earring, I might say hello...

Couldn't resist...:D

Wow...where do some of you get these impressions. If someone doesn't acknowledge your RJGODNESS, do you automatically tag that individual as a snob ?

What a strange bunch of folk.

I ALWAYS try and say hello/goodbye/thanks, regardless of who's aircraft I'm on, jumpseating or otherwise. You never know when that guy or gal up front might be able to help you get a job, a ride, or anything else. I guess like everything else, friendliness/being courteous is on the way out. This industry is way too small to be a jerk. Geez...............:( And oh, BTW, I ALWAYS have time to talk to a fellow pilot/aviator if they want to stick their head in the cockpit to say hello. The conversation may be short, but saying hello and welcome aboard doesn't take THAT long. It's always nice to know there's experience in the back if you need it.

Roger THAT!

It's not the crews that really wear on us usually (F/As can though!), it's the lack of service in general, TSA, the gate agents... most of em, the rules... the endless rules. It's the NOISE of a PA made in the gate area on a speaker system set to 11 when I'm trying to make a call, talk to a fellow passenger, drink some coffee or entertain even a thought to myself. It's many of the passengers who act and dress like they are on greyhound but demand caviar with Dom after climbing out of 10,000 ft. It's the gum I just sat in.... again.

All we can do is grin and bear it because airlining is something we do because we need to, not because we choose to. I am glad my company can purchase a full Y fare or 1st class ticket for me to travel on.

I just wish that still meant something...

I would travel in plain clothes all the time of I weren't required to wear a full Uni going to work. I like blending in much more.

P.S. I also initiate a "HELLO" when walking near another crew member. I get a decent response usually...

Runny nose RJ fo's, on the other hand, with their bleached hair, ipod wearin, back pack totin, "tude".....

I've been in the mighty CRJ and have moved on. Now some kid is mad cause I don't pay enough respect to him when I'm the paying passenger getting slapped around on his SJS ego trip?!?!?!

Okay..."Thank you fellow Aviatior. Your professional attitude, diligence and attention to detail have once again moved a grateful and adoring group of citizens through the dangerous skies to avoid peril and deliver us safely to our loved ones with speed and skill. Oh how do you do it? One can only wonder. Please continue your personal sacrifice to deliver us from the surly bonds of earth to join the mirth of sun split clouds in undersized seats complete with crabby stewardesses. Your undying devotion to duty has, once again, capped off a truly long week for me."

Happy?

Wow. Okay thanks for your input :D

I still get a kick out of the opening line. It's so nice of the author to give rides when NetJets buys full fare tickets!
