Netjets looking for concessions

I read in a news article that Netjets is asking for concessions. What kind of concessions are they asking for?

I talked to a Netjets pilot at the FBO in DEN about vacation time. He told me management want one week of vacation. Not sure what else they are asking.

When management asks for something like that its a signal that they have acute staffing problems.

People with less than 10 years get 3 weeks vacation. People with 10+ years, get 4 weeks vacation

I'd be more than happy to give them back one or even two weeks vacation for more $$$$

We might not make as much as the majors, but all the time off we get, we don't have to commute, and the fact that we can live wherever we want, its not a bad gig.

The company is making money, the fleet is being renewed, (20 Globals on property already) and we're adding owners at a pretty good rate. But unfortunately labor unrest is at an all time high due to negotiations

Is the a serious post?

Why don't you just tell me the part you disagree with. It'd save some time

Last summer mgmt. offered a deal in which we pay for insurance, we have to cross picket lines, the company can flip you between 7/7 and 18 day as needed, among other things. We were told if we did not take it plane orders would be cancelled, recalls would stop, and they would shift more flying to outside vendors. None of which has happened

What are some of the things the pilots are looking for? Higher pay is a pretty obvious one, but what?

Amazing that ANYONE would approach any Unionized work group and ask for that. However, the threat is right out of the playbook.

Pilots with less than 5 years get 2 weeks of vacation. No way will this pilot group give away any vacation or sick days (PTO days). Maybe I could see the eboard allow a TA that includes buying back individual vacations voluntarily at a premium like the current way PTO sell back works, but the company wants to get rid of the PTO sell back program and then just fire people if they actually use their sick time. One person saying they would like to bargain away vacation time for more pay doesn't speak for the vast majority. This is a tough job and you will be sorry if you don't take your vacation time to escape.
