IRS & FET on NetJets & other fractionals
 

I read the following article and others concerning Fractionals and the Federal Excise Tax (FET) that the IRS is pursuing.

With some 20 years in the business (and getting the screw from the IRS) I'm very skeptical that the IRS will back off of this topic. With the govt deeply in debt, they get pretty scrappy foraging for more sources of nuts.

With margins on aviation relatively thin to begin with, I would imagine this could garner much attention from fractional owners and the management companies that manage them.

Ideas?
