Old news. The linked article is from March 2021. Previous developments and the renaming of this carrier have already been mentioned in the Via Airlines thread in the Other Regional Airlines category.

I would agree, but the report function says:

I may ask for clarification if it would be acceptable to violate this direction.

Ami Vizor. Former owner of Charter Air Transport and Via airlines. Toxic person who destroyed the once great Charter Air Transport after they (he and his wife) purchased it from Mike Hoyle. Most of the good pilots (including a managment Pilot) bailed before they rebranded as Via airlines, due to the toxic environment that was infused there under Ami's reign.
He eventually ran it into the ground and was accused by many airports of not paying his fees, and left many passengers whose flights cancelled with little to no notice when they shuttered. I do not know if the people were ever refunded. To my knowledge (admittedly second hand) some management pilots were left without being paid. Buyer beware.
Wayne Heller along with Brian Bedford are famous for the very Toxic environment and extremely low pay at Republic/Shuttle America/Chataqua until he left (to great cheers) in 2015 ish. Heller was jointly responsible for FOs literally on food stamps.
The two of them as a team should scare off any potential flight crewmembers.
I see NO reason the Toxic treatment of people this management group has perfected over the years will be any different. I can only imagine the culture damage these two can create as a team.
Please do some research for yourself, I've provided the info to start. The Via airlines, Republic Airways (pre 2015) and Charter Air transport threads are a good read.
disclaimer. The above is my opinion having worked under both at various times.
