No, they never do give a reason. Basically it comes down to who drinks the least of the PenAir kool-aid, gets the axe. Personal vendetta, schoolyard gossip, or maybe they just don't like your shoes. All are valid reasons for the firings. Performance has nothing to do with it. If it did, then that means they have had incompetent training and standards for years!! Penair is not run in a professional manner. It is still a small company, and personal issues trump being a professional manager. I would send out resume's but there is nothing out there right now, and I would just compete with those who really need another paycheck. Best of luck guys (& gals).
Note to noobs: when Penair has a ground school this spring, they will be your best friend and tell you how great it is in PenAir land. They are very convincing, but do not believe it!

The ****** storm
Yep and management took a 10 percent pay cut........good for them, but I call BS. Once again things were done out of order. When is everyone going to man up and get a union going? The problem is that most of the people that fly for them are very simple. They don't understand the real world. It's like a child given a math equation, you can't expect them to solve it. Hopefully someone wakes up before the next ****** blizzard hits.
