Does anyone have a email for HR? I want to reach out and see how far in advance prior to mins I could apply and interview. Also how long the CJO would be.

Thanks

Default upgrade

How are upgrades looking at Silver? PSA is looking for qualified FOs that meet 121 mins to come on board. They are offering incentives on top of what is already offered to new hires.

It’s not all about upgrade young pup. Lemme tell ya if I chases upgrade I would’ve been at a major by now probably because I would’ve stayed at mesa before going to another regional but I’m glad I didn’t because I enjoy my quality life hear at silver living at home and driving to work is better than going to PSA

Well, that depends on your perspective. If this guy wants to hang out in Florida and fly for a regional for a while, then fine. But if he's looking at going to a major soon, then upgrade is important. Remember, every month that goes by is another bunch of new pilots hired senior to you at (name your major airline here).

Yeah that’s one way of lookin at it but look at it this way. Is a major gonna wanna here some young punk who chases upgrade or is a guy cutting his teeth on Silver metal grinding every day and gaining experience going to be the one that gets the call from the majors? I think its pretty easy choice. I mean look go to via air and see how you like life. Guarantee you will be applying to silver in a few months. I’ve been around the indus long enough to know experience matters. Whatever you do just make sure you get that four year degree.

First, let me just say that there are multiple things wrong with the advice your giving. Considering the posts you made in the Frontier forum this is mostly for the benefit of anyone who is actually considering your advice, and not necessarily for you specifically.
1. Is a major gonna hire some young punk chasing upgrade?
Where do I start. Are you saying said pilot is a young punk because he wants to show career progression with an upgrade, or because you are biased against younger aviators? As I write this i'm cringing that you just trolled me.
2.Cutting your teeth everyday on Silver metal?
Aside from the laugh I get about your Saab340 being super heavy metal, What differentiates cutting your teeth everyday between airframe/airline? I think every guy/gal trying to get picked up at a Major would argue they are "Cutting their teeth", literally every pilot working today. If someone upgrades, they can also cut their teeth in the left seat, grinding out PIC on whatever type metal. Career progression. If you have read any airline pilot career progression books and ask anyone, i'm sure the universal answer to looking good for a potential employer would be hold the best seat you can on the best equipment you can at this time.
3. Your Via air comment is irrelevant as street captain positions at other regionals, not charters, are still a thing.
4. A four year degree is probably the only relevant thing you said.

Please don't listen to this guy who sounds worse than the near retirement legacy guy who doesn't even know what his own airline flies and is stuck in the day of yesteryear.
