$$$ is nice yes, but for many of us we would rather push the additional credits away and be based in ANC home every night.

I had a PenAir guy sitting next to me in new hire class at another airline. Seems like a quality pilot group, cheers to you guys.

That is the great thing about PenAir is the crews. The whole pilot group is a tight knit community and a lot of us are close outside of work. It's just sad the way we are treated by the second floor, it's almost like they are forcing guys to quit.

I took a flight on PenAir out of Denver. Now I understand why the flight attendant was telling me the whole flight crew was brought down from Alaska for a month. Good luck to you guys.

Yes, we have a great group of guys. All of the pilots are willing to pitch in and help out to make sure everyone can get home.

The best thing about this industry is the pilots. We all want the same thing; to have fun, good work rules, and pay which reflects the responsibilities we undertake. Even given the conditions at the regionals it amazes me the morale of the pilots I fly with. Management knows we're in this because we love it, and they capitalize on that fact, and the traveling public is just as much to blame. Cheap is the name of the game.

Wow! Why are you guys putting up with this BS?
Literally everybody is hiring right now. If you want to stay in AK check out Ravn\Hageland, Horizon, Northern Air Cargo, Everets, Grant, Ryan. In the lower 48 sky is the limit - all the regionals are hiring with fast upgrades, better pay, some with flows through agreements. We, pilots, don't have much control over management, but choosing to stay at a sh*tty company is just dumb, IMHO. By the way, that is why they (management) can keep doing things like what you described happening at PenAir right now. LEAVE!

Then it started with hey we NEED you to go down to PDX, this time for a few weeks, then a month... we were all told that this would stop by late december, however now it's only gotten worse. Many of us ANC guys are now down here in denver with long duty days, cancelations, living out of hotel for the month and most likely next month for all of us already here. QOL is non existant down here. Sure if I lived here it wouldnt be THAT bad but it's the whole principle of the matter. I came to penair to live in alaska and do something different. A huge change for anyone in that situation. Now we are being forced down to TDY for months on end just with a small chance of hope that maybe just maybe next months bid will be better. Well Feb bid is almost out and all of us will still be TDY down in denver. It's not good here. Huge difference between the pilots and managment. Anyone in training now or thinking of it, get out while you can.

it's hard to start fresh and that's why many of us are still holding on but enough is enough and i know personally there are many other options to go after at this time. i think we are all fed up with this

Most of those options you listed aren't any better than Penair. Hence the dilemma for many of us here.

Two questions:
#1 - When was the last time you heard of a PROFITABLE family business bringing in another owner?
#2 - What does he bring to the table?
Better start polishing those resumes....
