Is GCA ever willing to take pilots on part-time? Odd question, but I already live in Vegas and need to keep my day job (I work 3 days a week) while I build time.

Exclamation Update - October 2019

Fellow comrades,

Long time lurker, but have been eyeing this thread for a while now. I was hired earlier this year, and am currently at GCA. Don't know how many of you are still interested, but I can give as much information as I can, along with a document with current pay scales, upgrade times, jumpseat privileges, insurance, 401K, etc. for both SIC, Caravan, and Otter Captain. The other day I just flew with the CEO (yes, who actively flies the line from time to time) and gave me a lot of direct information about all of your questions. If anyone's still interested, let me know!

Can you give any insight into the PIC salary on the Otter? Also is it possible to choose your base?

Every other week. Usually twice a month. There are one or two months that you get paid three times.

For the love of God. 22 lousy bucks a flight hour? I was making $15 an hour flying 402's in the Ditch 28 freakin' years ago.

Given the current pilot hiring environment, that's just sad.

For the love of god! Read the post about pay again. They pay duty time, not flight time. 64.5 hours minimum every two weeks. It’s still not great pay, but for a 135 operation it’s a good time builder.
