Default Noise level PC12 vs King Air

Never flown in a PC 12 but I read that the cockpit noise level is convenient.

Flew as a passenger with the Kingair and I liked it a lot but I regret I forgot my earplugs (or my Bose)

Anyone can share experiences?

I know that the KingAir 350 had active noise reduction in its cabin.
Downside of a wing mounted engine configuration is that prop and engine noise always pound the cabin.
I would expect a Piaggio Avanti to be much more quiet in the cabin then a 'regular' KingAir without the built in Bose.

PC12 89 DBs
PC12NG 92 DBs

The NG is a higher freq ( 5 bladed prop ) so it gets cancelled better with the Bose

Flew PC12s for about a year. Always needed the noise cancel feature on my original Bose. Decently loud aircraft.

The back of the Pilatus is significantly quieter than the back of the KingAir. I've never been in the front of a KingAir though so I can't speak for how loud the cockpit is in comparison.

ANR is a good thing to have if you're up front in the -12. It's quieter than a lot of turbine singles but I still liked having the noise cancellation.

The cabin in a PC-12 is relatively quiet. It is less so in a King Air.
In the cockpit, I always need ANR in a PC-12. When my batteries died in the King Air, the noise was less noticeable compared to a PC-12. Both are loud though.
