Stay Away !!! Low pay, criminal hours, minimal flight time. It would be a good opportunity for someone with low time to get a break but in the long run you would be much better off going to a regional.

The DO (as least for a long time) was one of my CFI's. Wenatchee is a nice town. If not going to a regional is what you are looking for, or breaking into corporate, it might be a great deal. I honestly don't know a lot about them but I can tell you some of the old leadership were good guys.

Met a couple of their guys in Sand Point ID the other day. They came in in an Aero Commander dropping somebody off. I talked with them a bit but was a little preoccupied at the time. I think it was 5 on 2 off, didn't ask about pay. One of the guys had put in his notice to leave, if that means anything, but neither bad mouthed the company. They did say they were hiring though - definitely in need. Nice guys.

They posted 3500 TT and Minimum ATP. They were looking to hire 2 Lear 35 pilots.

About 35000 a year first year, fly 300 to 400 hours a year, on call alot, Captains make around 45000 first year, not enough to live well in Wenatchee, They have never laid anyone off. You do not fly every day in fact you have alot of time at home. In my opinion it is much better then the regionals because you are not going to get laid off tomorrow and it can lead to much better corporate jobs down the road. I have no real complaints except for the low pay and amount of time on call.

They have Lear 35's at KBFI for their air ambulance side. This is 3 on, 3 on call, and 3 off. About 250 hours a year for this gig. But a nice schedule from what my friend says. However the little flight time has drawbacks, especially for upgrading to the left seat, because their mins are firm because of insurance for the air ambulance contract. In Wenatchee they also have a Lear 60 or two, two aero commanders, and a challenger 604. But mostly a Lear fleet.

Thanks for the input folks! I really appreciate hearing from the ones who know.

How likely would it be to be able to choose the BFI (air ambulance) flying? I have some Lear 24 & 35 PIC time so I'm not really looking to build time. I'd just like to find a decent place to work that is in the Pacific NW (home). The 121 world has become a pretty miserable place to work and I'd just like to enjoy flying again.

Thanks again for the input.
