Salmon Air in Idaho?
#4
I don't know that much about them but I flew out of BOI for many years and saw them operating. I've seen Islanders, Navajos and 206's. Very busy in the summer and fall with rafters and hunters. Salmon, ID has a lot of BLM, FS and Firefighter activity in the summer and it's a 5-6 hour drive from Boise.
Like most of that type of job you probably need an inside connection or need to be hanging around the Idaho aviation scene. Never any harm to sending a resume, though.
My guess is that it would be a lot of fun but pay might not be that great. Idaho backcountry flying paid quite a bit less than Alaska bush flying in the past.
