Default Contour aviation

Anyone have a information on this company? My son is in the process of getting his commercial rating at this time, will have his CFII and MEI by next spring, so he is looking at the job market now.

Any constructive input would be great. I came up the military route, so the civilian route is foreign to me.

Thanks,

Justfun

Contour is just the new name for Corporate Flight Management. Lots of info about the company on here. I did a year there flying the Jetstream. Good company.

I was based at VCT in a Jetstream 31/32. My QOL was amazing. 8on/6off and home every night. But I guess the guys based in MQY weren't that lucky. Benefits werent great. Insurance was expensive and they had zero 401k match.

Company does have a 401k match and all Jetstream pilots receive a schedule now regardless of base.

thanks for the info guys. My son and I were talking about this company the other day and he was asking some questions that your posts were able to answer.

I have a question are their minimums pretty hard and fast or is there is a bit of leeway in what is required?

Also, how is the upgrade time?

I appreciate the help and any info you can share. Like I said, I went the military route, so my knowledge base is a bit scarce on the civilian stuff.

I believe it's 1000TT. But you never know. Being local could give you a leg up. I know that when I applied for the Jetstream I was called almost immediately because I left bed locally in a city they had just won an EAS contract in

Walker,

are you flying people or boxes? What exactly do they do?

Thanks for the info.

It's all passenger. They have Jetstreams on EAS runs, tons of Charter and managed jets, and they even operate Crystal Air Cruise Global Express
