My favorite was always when rampers would stick their hands into opened bags of chips and grab a handful before throwing them on board

FWIW flying in SE Alaska was the best experience of my life! Yes, Juneau is expensive, yes the weather can get really lousy, yes the pilots up there are a different breed...but it was a really positive experience overall and the knowledge I gained by flying up there really helped me out in my career going forward. If you are in a position to pack your bags and have an adventure, especially if you are low time and looking for experience, there is no better place to go! Just my .02. Good luck!
