Pilot hobbies while waiting for Pax
Hello,
I'd still say I am new to 135/corp flying. I am currently at an operator that I typically will get anywhere from 12 to 18 flying days a month.
My question is what do y'all do during the long sits at the FBO all day while waiting for pax or on your days off?
Im very much a worker and can stand having a day or two off but once you get to three and four days in a row I get so bored and have nothing to do except the honey-do list .

Talk really loud on my phone in the crew room, with my shoes off, smoking cigarettes. Then I grab the remote and change the channel, even though people were watching the show.
Lol, in all seriousness I do a lot of side work during sits. I manage a Phenom 100 and that consumes a lot of my time. Read, listen to music, update the logbook...whatever it takes to kill time.

While waiting for passengers while on a charter. First thing is to have some cards printed up with your cell phone number to give to the passengers so they can call you when returning to the airport.
If I have a couple hours then I get something to eat. Or a quiet place to rest.
Longer waits can be hard since nothing is close to the airport that I would want to do.
Days off, build up a side business to bring in an income in case the flying part disappears for some reason, and additional income when you are flying.

Porn, lots and lots of porn. Like the strangest stuff you can find out there. The stuff you never want to search for on your own home network or anywhere that can possibly be associated with you.
I also like to do needlepoint.
