Anyone have any updated info on working for Sierra West? What’s it like to fly on demand? What kind of contract do they currently have?

PMed

All my knowledge is a few years old. Still in touch with one captain there and last I heard from him was that all but two Metro pilots are furloughed.

Hey there, saw a couple jobs ads for SWA and was wondering if you had heard anything from your connection about current hiring temp for FOs?

Who has the skinny on this company? Pay? Domiciles? QOL?

Pay was $32k for FOs and $45k for Captains when I was there. ELP and TOL bases. QOL... 24/7 on call with 8 days off a month. You do get jumpseat privileges with UPS which was cool though. I was home most days since they tend to do out and back trips rather than leave you where you drop off.

No autopilot so get that raw data handflying skill up! Training was ~2 weeks. 3.4 hours in Metro before checkride. Goodluck.

Pretty much what he/she just said. The only differences now, FO’s get $36k CA get whatever they negotiate, usually around $80k. And even though TOL is listed as base, it’s not. Just ELP.
