Yeah, the Cape Air promissory note floored me. I would smack my clients if any of them signed one that lopsided. I applied to a survey company and joined PPW as suggested by a member. Hopefully something turns up.

Not many places around don’t make you sign a contract. 4-6 weeks to get through training at Cape. Average 100 hours flying a month, he could get his ATP in 6 months on the line. Getting the “big money” may not be the top priority for some but rather having a good quality of life and having family time may take priority. Not many places afford you the uncommon luxury of being home every night with your family. I know everyone’s situations and goals are different and everyone has there own reasonings for choosing what they do but I’m just throwing this other option out there.

I know some places get you 100h a month, and Cape Air may be one of them but I'd never count on flying that much anywhere. 70-80 sure.....100, one month, maybe two....but not average.
And money is pretty low if you ask me.
I do however respect a lot Cape Air. I think it's a great place

That I don't know, but I'm sure it's true. I know they work like a big carrier so they must have lots of small things to offer.
Do you by any chance know what their junior FO bases are?
How does a regular month look like for an FO? pay wise

As far as basing, 95% of their routes are pilot bases. FOs right out of training have a really good chance of getting the region they want, New England, Montana, Midwest, Caribbean. Bases open up each month due to the rapid upgrades, good chance of getting the base you want a month or two down the line if not right away.
FO schedules are typically 4 on 4 off. They pay by the duty hour not the flight hour. As per the contract it is a minimum of 40 hours per week. Most lines are scheduled about 46 hours. The 6 hours over the 40 are paid out at time and a half. Mind you this is without picking up any extra days. Depending how much overtime an FO will make 550-800 a week.
Once you hit 1200 hours they bring you back in to do a PIC upgrade, at that point you can fly PIC on either the “bag plane”, the mail plane, any charters, or any repo flights. You also get a pay increase.
