Those old threads are damn near useless. They are full of lies, half-truths and the only complaints that were valid at the time of writing have been resolved a long time ago.

In class currently, getting ready for sims. Can confirm: great company. Haven't met someone I didn't like yet, love the small community, and the pay and benefits are very nice. Definitely feel prepared after two weeks of ground school, instructor was excellent.

There is so called GOM and Caribbean manual. Pilots are supposed to be familiar with. One thing .. pilots do not read it . it says call or email so and so if anything needs to be fixed in the house , apartment, car. Keep in mind this is Caribbean and is out of TW control if it takes longer to fix something.
Next .. pilots do not read emails related to flying like Antigua case . Btw TW crew took off behind the mentioned PIC and helped him to solve the problem even an email was sent to all pilots in sju about TAPA. This shows you attitude toward the job . Easy , let’s blame TW. Right !!!!!! New pilots .. Doesn’t matter what hours you have it doesn’t mean one can do this job for one reason or another. That’s why there is evaluation later on . Second .. Tradewind is desperate for pilots ???? Need pilots but will not upgrade just any pilot . Even if you are PIC on the east coast ( new) still need to pass SBH or Caribbean training. |

Do Tradewind Caribbean employ non-American pilots? I note that the right to work in the Caribbean requires a separate work visa. Looks like a good company. Cheers SMcS |
