Depends......some feeder freight positions (FedEx/UPS) are similar....often in a caravan or metro..if you happen to live in the right small community, some show at 6 pm Monday night...fly an hour, go to a hotel by 9...then show in the am... fly an hour, home by 8 or 9..do it nightly.... finish about 10 am Saturday am(Saturday is usually a later show)
Some are hub based...so nights home, days on the road...
Largely depends on how flexible you are location wise.....

Part time 135 is doable. Mostly if you are close friends with the owner and he makes up a job specifically for you.

Or part 91 flights, if you know the business owner.

Or jumpers and glider towing.

It is more about who you know than what is available.

As an instructor I had a part time 135 job flying 2 days a week. Because I was at the airport all the time and knew the owner, and he knew I would fly fairly cheaply.

It's more about being in the right place at the right time.

If anyone tells you it can't be done, go out and do it.

They got rid of those positions along with floaters.

I have an offer through some networking to fly SETP next spring and summer part time, weekends, some nights etc.

Works for them, ME CHEAP, for me, log SIC turbine time and experience time building.
