Ameriflight
Hello,
I have heard rumorus that Ameriflight has lowered their minimums to 500TT.
Once again, this is all rumours and it would be nice if some insider could confirm it it is true or not.
Thank you
Safe landings

I think it's a wonderful Catch 22, so that the instructors build the time to actually become line pilots. Honestly, when I was at the 135 mins, and had some 500hr instructor "teaching" me, I'd probably have to laugh and really put them through the ringer.

I think its funny that 500hr ERAU grads show up at AMF and try to show you how to fly in the real world. They never had to load boxes, fly in weather, deal with dispatch, and the FAA. But since the are from ERAU they already now what its like. They are amazing pilots. LOL

ERAU Guys @ AMF
It's actually the ERAU guys that sometimes have the trouble getting through training because they are so used all the "glass" and GPS in the cockpit that they foreget how to use two VOR's, DME, and an ADF. Not saying they all are like that, but some. Most of the ERAU guys that we get are good. Being a Training Captain does allow for some good opportunities. The training captain are PIC for VFR 135 and PIC while training. After 3-6 months they usually get SIC'd in the Beech 99 and usually become a training captain in that as well. So there is also opportunity to get turbine time before hitting the 1200 mark.
