Dumont Group Sim Profile

I'm going to be flying a sim profile for Dumont Group in a few weeks, they said it will be in any available jet sim. Any Dumont guys who have flown the interview profile?

Any info on quality of life or company in general would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Couldn’t tell you about the sim but QOL is generally pretty good

Thanks Cal, does the aircraft return to base or stay at the last airport? Is your travel days included in the 12 days on? What are typical destinations outside of the US for the Falcon 2000? Part 91 and 135 or 135 exclusive?

Typically they stay on the road with travel days included in the 12/10. Destinations outside the US are the usual Canada, Mexico, Caribbean with a Central/South America trip on occasion. Mixture 135/91. I’m not on the 2000 so I couldn’t tell you the ratio.

Thanks Cal!

Any more info on Dumont. I got a sim ride with them in a week or so. Hungry for info on the company. I know the new DO has only been there bout 16 months for what I can tell. I think the indoc is done online...

Training contract

I hear there is a 2 year training contract for the DA2000.

I enjoyed my ~4 years there. General sentiment seems to be that the new DO has not been a positive change. That said, I still know people who are there, and they seem happy enough. You could certainly do worse.

I interviewed last Aug and the sim was pretty straight forward. They’ll basically tell you what’s coming, but in a nut shell, 10-15 minutes to warm up, anything you want to do, then reset on the ground. Next is takeoff, V1 cut, vectors for hand flown ILS, maybe to a miss. Next is a life treating senerio, what would you do, NOW! Looking to see how you fly and your ability to make decisions.

Can’t vouch for the comment about the D.O. but he seemed ok to me. But he is the boss and not your friend, so....

Good luck, seems like a pretty good place. My hang up was the pay and 3 year contract on the Gulfstream. But the time off seemed pretty good though, 15/15 schedule.
