JetSuite Inc/JSX

Alright, here’s the truth. Been at Jetsuite for years now, and frankly sick of incorrect info about the company being posted. So much has changed in the last couple months that the info under the old thread is incorrect anyways. Ask away and I will answer with no BS. I am currently employed under Inc but am happy to answer all questions if I don’t know the answer I’ll try my best to find it out.

Schedule for "X" and "Inc"

Any idea of typical schedule for the "X" and "inc" sides?

IslandHop 11-17-2018 12:25 PM

Currently schedules are awarded on a seniority based bid. Within the bid you have the opportunity to bid 8&6, 7&7, combinations of 4 on 3 off and a mix match of other lines. But thats the jist and this for both X and Inc

Thanks IslandHop, I appreciate the info! As far as the options go, any idea of what a junior person would typically get... 8x6, 7x7, 4x3? Also do you know what days of the week the 8x6/7x7/4x3 start?

IslandHop 11-20-2018 09:05 PM

It varies a lot really... we just had a bid for dec 4- Jan 28. the 4 most junior FOs on the inc side; 2 of them got an 8&6 staring Tuesday-Tuesday, one got a 7&7 Wednesday-Tuesday and one got a 5 on 3 off, 5 on 5 off line. So it’s pretty random... Captains tend to bid 4n3 go senior then 7&7 and 8 n 6 go junior. Generally all the 8n6 run Tuesday-tuesday, the 7&7 generally run Wednesday-Tuesday and the random lines are random some have all weekends off, some work every weekend in the bid period. Predominantly you will have 4 weekends off in a 56 day bid period regardless what line you get.... I hope my explanation isn’t too confusing

Thanks... That's very helpful Islandhop. So it sounds like the odds of getting either a 7x7 or 8x6 is pretty good for a junior guy... which would suit me best as I plan to commute.

For now it's not very commutable unless you live near BUR - PHX, LAS, DEN, and NorCal are doable...sorta. No commuter clause either at this time. After six months you get non-rev benefits on SWA which helps but still not CASS with them yet - list is growing regularly though which will assist the ability to commute (This is for the X side, Inc. is gateway based).

Where you live will determine what side of the company you go for... ( and obviously your total time) if you intend on commuting i would plan on leaving home the day before and getting home the day after your rotation.

Do not come to JetSuite inc or X. Management offered a slap in the face “new” pay package alienating most pilots currently on property. Captains flying 75 hours a month. Most first officers fly 20 hours monthly and sit on home standby or worse FBO standby for days at a time with seniority not recognized for anything except bidding. Monthly pilot calls that turn into a battle of upset pilots and upset off management that won’t do what’s right for the pilot group. Talks of possible unionization. I’d stay far away, lots of people here looking to jump ship. Recent pay raise still wasn’t enough to keep some captains.

What about the new hire bonus? How is that paid out?
Is KCCR a base? I live near there and was thinking o could fly company metal is I was based elsewhere for the commute
