I saw a new WWJ G-IV posting on Bizjetjobs. They no longer show home based but gateway cities and everything is midwest or east. That is what I was told in my interview and now the ad at least matches that.

Quick background on me, I'm 40 years old have 121 and 135 experience, four type ratings and 7 years as an air traffic controller. I'm not saying that like its anything super impressive but obviously I am not new to aviation.
Anyway I apply to their ad on climbto350. Specifically because it says NO RELOCATION REQUIRED and lists Boston as an airport you can commute from.
So I get a call from their recruiter, Charlie Hunter. He starts by saying I don't meet their requirements (I more than meet them) and that I'll have to be based in Teterboro for 2 years. He said this is a great opportunity for a kid like me with little experience. I told him I'm not a kid and don't appreciate his tone, and there is no way on earth im moving to Teterboro (Id rather move to Syria) In short the guy is an complete $*#head who thinks this is 2006 and we should be all jumping at the chance to work for a place that blatantly lies from the get go.
Just wanted to pass along this warning. There are a lot of good places out there and with good people who value our experience and don't condescend to us. Worldwide Jets is evidently not one of them.

Had similar experience , the whole management team from C. Hunter to the chief pilot to the secretary there are a bunch of lying douchebags .

I'm assuming you interviewed for the G4. Any additional feedback? Good, the bad, the ugly?

My feeling is they are disorganized. Even before I interviewed they were sending me (email) background check releases for another guy who had interviewed assume addressing it to him. I kept writing them back saying you are sending them to the wrong person and they would never respond. Then they sent me back ground checks stuff before my interview and I asked them should I fill this out even before my phone interview.....CRICKETS. I did not to say the least.

My phone interview with Charlie H was brief. I qualify to be a G-IV PIC and the ad said I could be home based in LAX. During the interview he told me I would be a SIC for 1-2 years and make $80K and I need to move to TEB??? The ad said I would be a PIC and make $135K. I have 8300TT 3500 PIC jet and make the time in type mins. I just felt like it was a bait and switch.

Absolutely bait and switch. I posted this originally to try steer people away from them. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of scumbag operators out there.

Dude get off your high horse, calling it scumbag. You just had a stupid phone interview. Did you actually interview, at their HQ? It’s not like you showed up to class and they told you you’re moving to New Jersey. You just has a phone chat, sounds like you were really hurt by it... They have stacks of resumes(I’ve seen them) from all kinds, mx, FAs, pilots and its one lady that does it all. Once you actually make it in, it’s a solid company.

Lol that's the entire point of a bait and switch. Get lots of resume with the bait and then switch it when they bite. WWJ's reputation has always been the same, but I have never heard of them missing a paycheck.

That's disappointing. I too well exceed the mins and have the type. Lower time, non typed Sic new hires for a G4 flying straight up charter start around 105k first year in teb. Second year jumps to 120-130k upon review, then small increases until you make pic. Upgrading to pic is about 150k. I know quite a few captains who are at year three and four earning 180k - 200k in teb. Some came with G4 time, some came with other heavy or 121 time. That's pretty much the top for G4 charter at teb unless your on a 91 account.
WWJ could have come at you with an offer similar to that to make it more palatable. Start you off in the right seat for 6 months at a lower number. When they get know you and see your competent slide you over to the left seat and adjust your salary accordingly. I seriously hope they aren't getting asses in the seats with that bait and switch. It'll lower the bar for everyone.

Yeah you’re right I should get off my high horse. All I had was a phone interview where they told me the exact opposite of what they advertised and said I have to live in teterboro for two years. And evidently they have done the same thing to other people. How dare I warn anyone about that.

Oh you should’ve said they have lots of resumes!!! I didn’t realize that! Then blatant false advertising is fine!

Management must love you.
