Sawyer Aviation
This company claims to be in business since 1961. Not true. They have been operating a few light jets for about 6 months, Since Dec 2018. The pay is decent but the operation is a **** show. The DO has been arrested for Extreme DUI and can’t get a job anywhere else. He used to be the DO at “Alante Air” that place is also a dump. The company doesn’t even have an HR department. You can easily get fired and be on the hook for a training contract $30K for captain and 7K for FO. They will put you on situations where rules are bend. The owner is a pilot and has very little knowledge how to run a charter operation. Do your self a favor stay away.

Sawyer has been in business for a long time now; apparently a lot longer than you.
Darrel Sawyer sold the place in 2000 to Swift; the company changed names, but the flight school kept the Sawyer name. The FBO was at Skyharbor for a very long time since 1939, I believe), with a long history of charter, maintenance, fuel sales, training, etc.
New to you, maybe.

I worked there 40 years ago, with a few other furloughed airline pilots and retired military pilots.
At the time it was a better than average general aviation place. Not perfect by any means, but still pretty good.

Pilots are still getting fooled in to Sawyer
This place has tried to open operations in VNY, HOU and other places in California. All failed. The current pilots are quitting like 3 per month. The Chief Pilot position hasn’t lasted occupied by the same person longer than 6 months.
Director of operations quit after 6 months as well. A young dispatcher recently got fired be cause she donated her hair to Locks of love.
