Everyone is trained in both after their 2nd training event. At least that’s how it’s been. I think the ratio is pretty close to 50/50, maybe a few more 21s. Personally I like the fusion better, because there’s about 5 ways to do everything. Which is why a lot of guys don’t like it as much. There’s also a couple other features that, while not used a lot, are very useful when needed.

From N800UP-N859UP is the proline 21, 859-893 is fusion. We have 73 total tails in those numbers, some are old UPS DC-8s. You’ll start on either the 21 or fusion, at your 6 month mark as a PIC you’d go to recurrent and get differences training, as an SIC you only go to recurrent every 12 months so you’d get differences training then

Not going to complain if they’re providing an A20 on board. Don’t have to carry a headset for 8 days or buy/recharge batteries. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Agreed, not sure what that other dude is on about. All of us have our own headsets for when we go fly on our own, but I don’t own an expensive noise canceling one cause I’ve never had a need. Some people can never see outside of their own small little box, always amusing

You've got children talking about wearing kneeboards, as if they're still student pilots, and who can't be bothered to own or use a simple tool of the trade that every pilot should be supplying himself; a headset.
An employer may put headsets in the airplane, and in rare circumstances, hard wire them in to ensure that the headsets aren't removed, and that only those headsets get used.
We are in a time when the FAA has waived oxygen mask requirements to preclude the necessity of crew infecting one another. Having one's own headset, with one's own mic and mic muff and ear seals and headband, is not only prudent, but responsible. To fail to bring one's own headset is laziness.
Perhaps it's time to put on the big boy pants.
