Default IFR Cargo Flt Time Requirements

Although I have the hours required for a Pt. 135 (4K total and 325 ME) IFR job, I was told my 85 hours Inst. and 100 night weren't enough for the company. Does this tend to be the norm out there for C208 jobs?

It's probably a Preference for the company, driven by insurance min's I"m guessing. I'm really suprised they are being picky seeing how right now "most" freight guys are having problems with the airlines hiring at or less than 500 TT. Honestly that really sounds nit-picky, but I don't know this particular companies history. Good Luck.

To be honest though your multi, night and instrument times are VERY low to be considered for most captain positions. You do meet 135 IFR PIC mins, but just barely. I take it alot of your time is instructing? They also are probably concerened about your instrument competency. Most companies look at it as they'll teach you how to fly the plane but they're not going to teach you how to fly.
