LOL! Sorry, not laughing AT you, just at the concept. The 135 world is so tight for planes and pilots, nobody will give a guy looking for “a retirement job” a first glance, let alone second.

Your friend might be able to find a cushy 91 job that fits the bill but it’s kind of a unicorn for retired guys with no history in corporate. In 135? No way.

All IMO, of course.

You don’t get out much… do ya. A number of 121 colleagues, hanging up their airline goggles, are and have joined 135 operators.

Anyone who is currently working for Thrive Aviation could you please DM me?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. Yes, lots of guys from 121 get a 135 job after they retire (including me). But too many come out looking for part time or a cushy job where they fly a couple days a week or so. That’s the kind of job that will be difficult, if not impossible to find in 135.

I’ve got a couple good friends looking for these types of jobs right now.

Part 135 is not for kicking back. Anyone who thinks so will be setting themselves up for failure.

Exactly.

Hope you’re doing well.

I know plenty of places that won't hire airline guys, just because.

And I also cannot imagine retiring from an airline at 65 and going to work retail 135.
