Got an email today for a phone interview offer. Said they're hiring PA31 Captains to OAK or PDX for a Feb or March class date. Anyone else get a email/call?

Also, are you responsible for transportation to the interview?

Yes, you will be responsible for your own travel and lodging arrangements.

They interview at a number of bases though, so you could find the one closest to you.

Thanks guys..Any idea how long you typically wait to be able to move bases, and what equipment is at each one? Particularly the CVG base...

I was awarded CVG (from OAK) after about 6 months and that was about a year ago. I was very fortunate with timing and because of previous turbine experience went into the Metro from the Chieftain. Unless they get short on pilots with turbine time (which they don't seem to be at the moment) you would most likely start in OAK or PDX and then bid a 99 outstation and then go from there. I'd say 1.5 to 2 years for CVG because of it being primarily a Metro base with one Brasilia run.

I was in OAK for 9 months before being awarded SLC in the 99. That was last year.

I've also heard they have a pay-to-play arrangement with Korean Air trainees..anyone have any of these guys sitting right seat? Do they just sit on their hands most of the time, or do you have them doing stuff?

You can have them fly, but never let your guard down.
