I got the PA31 with 1575/185, they asked if I wanted OAK or PDX, I said I'd like OAK since it's closer to PHX but who knows...

Looks like I need to go get more shirts and ties lol...

CircleK 03-05-2009 02:12 PM

I'm curious if any Bro FO's have been hired this go around.

sorry guys, been busy the past few days.... anyways, i got OAK base and i'm guessing the PA31. at the interview they said upgrade to the 99 is like 8-10 months. so that won't be long. i have just over 135 mins and have both 135 and turbine time/experience.

like CRJDriver said, you really have to be pro-active during these hard times. if you've submitted your resume, give it a few weeks, then call to follow-up. good luck to everyone! wish me luck in ground school! YEE

TRUST ME upgrade is not anywhere near 8-10 months. Maybe 18-20 months would be more realistic. Especially at OAK there is hardly any 99 runs, you would have a better chance upgrading sooner in PDX but even then don't go there right now thinking you'll get a quick upgrade.

trust me, my friend had been at amf sense oct and is moving to slc (all turbine base) this month.

Bowersbum 03-05-2009 07:11 PM

I got the chief with 1250/100. And i requested PDX because I live there now.

Congrats! have fun in training.

cessnamann 03-06-2009 07:55 AM

Did all of you who got interviews have internal recommendations? I haven't even been able to get SP to return my calls. 1200TT, 300milti and 230Turb. Any info would be appreciated.

You'll probably do IOE with RT. He's a first-class guy.

imbroke 03-06-2009 02:29 PM

Did anyone get an offer/interview with less than the mins?

I had 2. You really have to keep calling her though.

700/30 for a 'Bro spot. HR said the only reason I got an interview was because I was local to SDF. Basically could tell they had already picked their candidates because the interview was only HR and they seemed dis-interested at that...

CircleK 03-07-2009 12:44 PM

jdlilfan...was your bro offer for the march 9th class?

I would get your times up to 135 mins, becasue that is what she is going to tell you. unless you go for a training cap position.

slipped 03-09-2009 01:48 PM

I would LOVE a training cp position but was told they are not hiring those anymore, also heard the lears are getting parked.

They don't use lears for cargo.... you could go for a bro FO position. I don't quite remember the times for that though.

BRO FO??? And i heard they were outright parking the lears.

Spoilers 03-09-2009 02:46 PM

I'm sure this has been answered before. For PA31 PDX for example, will you always be flying the same run or can you bid for a different one every month?

Also, is there a training contract for the Bro (FO)?

own nav 03-10-2009 10:01 AM

1 year training contract for the EMB120.

arizonastpilot 03-10-2009 10:06 AM

Is Amflight very strict on the 300 multi req for the BRO FO?

No, they are somewhat strict on living close to the base you are interviewing for. So if you live in Chicago, you probably wont get an interview for BQN or DFW regardless of if you can relocate quickly. Also travel expenses for the interview/getting to class are on your own dime.

They just hired a bunch of FO's so they probably wont be hiring anytime soon except for possibly expansion at BQN.

That's a good point I think people are overlooking. We really don't have that many EMBs, and the recent openings have been for expansion, not from people leaving.

Spoilers 03-10-2009 06:33 PM

Anyone know when the next new-hire class might be?

Ozpilot414 03-10-2009 07:08 PM

I hear April six will have another class.....

SkyStormer6 03-11-2009 06:16 AM

Hey can anyone give me a number to call to check on my application? I sent in an app like a week ago and just want to touch base with them. Looked on their website and couldn't find an HR number or anything. Maybe I'm just retarded.

I'd very much appreciate it if you would check that number for me.

mmaviator 03-11-2009 08:44 AM

SkyStormer6 03-11-2009 08:49 AM

I just tried 800 4538 and that worked. She just wasn't there. I shall try again later. And I actually did check to make sure I had payed my bill ;)

cessnamann 03-11-2009 09:28 AM

it would help if I could give you the right number. But if they aren't returning phone calls then they might be filled up with with what they want.

I called twice a day EVERYDAY just to get an interview, then I had to call again to see the results/class date (the ACP told me to plan for a March 9 class). She is just SO swamped with apps right now just keep calling.

We have 2 BRO FO's in class right now. One has 1300TT the other has 600TT, but they both have experience down in SJU. They also said that they are in the process of getting another EMB120 and should be up soon...so who knows. Call Sylvia and put an app in.

Does Ameriflight have any aircraft located at Bedford,Mass (kbed)?

AVIATORCFI 03-11-2009 07:20 PM

I called SP and she told me to wait to have my application processed. That was three weeks ago, still waiting and still nothing.

We do, unofficially, well, it stops in Bedford and goes to Ottowa.
