SIC rating for international operations
As released/published in Aug. 2005, there is a June 6th 2006 requirement for persons operating as a SIC. See: http://web.nbaa.org/public/ops/sic/
Anyone flying 135 done this yet? My read is that a proficiency check coveres you. But then there is a part about 8710 form submittal to the FSDO.
Anyone?

Call and schedule an appointment with the FSDO. Take an 8710 with the top filled out and a copy of your company training record (showing a PC within the past 12?- might be 24 months) and they will fill in the bottom/back portions and give you a temp certificate. No biggie.

I have one in the Learjet. I personally kind of like it b/c it shows that I have been to some sort of training on the aircraft. It's sort of like a history of your experience. It was so easy. I took my training record from simcom and the completed 8710 signed by the DO to the FSDO next door and got a new ticket. No biggy!
