Default Key Lime Air

Got an phone call from them yesterday. I'm familiar with UPS feeder operations which seems to be the bulk of their business. However being from the midwest I'm not familiar with their operations. The idea of living in the mountains appeals to me.

How are their schedules, pay (already looked at this site), MX, management? I'd love to hear from somebody currently flying there.

I don't work there, but know someone who has. First of all, you will not be based in DEN. You will end up in some crap town in NE or KS and fly in to Denver at night, then back out to your base in the morning. My buddy didn't enjoy his time there.

I turned down a metro PIC spot a few months back and I've been furloughed twice this year, I will never be that desperate. Go to ntsb.gov and search aviation accidents , they've put 7 or 8 in the ground over the last 5 or so years. ALOT OF IT IS DUE TO MX so be careful.

Thanks guys. Just weighing the options out there. Not going to take a flying job unless it gives me better QOL than I have/had here.

Thought I'd give a follow up on them:

I returned their call, never heard back from them. Guess they weren't too interested.

I've heard from fellow pilots who are familiar with their operation and they say it a real crap hole from the schedule to mx and of course the training contract is laughable.

Default Key Lime Tried to Hire me today

Just for information, Got a call for Kat at KeyLime offered me a Job PIC on the Metro. I have zero Metro but 8750 tt and 4200 jet with 3 type ratings (no 135 exp). But the sad thing is its the first real offer in more than 2 months. Pay was 35K a year for 4 days flying, she said that most all fly 5 days at 165.00 extra a week.

Cool Key Lime

Yeah, I got a call as well... But for a phone interview. KL needs Navajo PIC's for freight runs.

Don't know about a lot of ya'll, but I've got mouths to feed. Hell of a note, huh? This economy REALLY SUCKS!

Any gouge information on what they'll want to know?

$35k for the metro job? The pay went down then because it used to be around $40k'ish around 3 years ago.
Typical for that company though.
Don't do it.
