Anybody have any information on these guys aside from what's posted on APC? Can anybody who works for them shed some light?

I see they're hiring for the Express side onto the Caravans...

Are they hiring direct captains or FO's?

A few months ago I looked into flying for them. I'm not sure what the mins are for capt, but f/o was pretty much just a commercial cert. If you went the f/o way, you'd have to work 20 hrs for free each month, and then they would pay you after that. I think they would also limit your flight time each month so they didn't have to pay you, plus in a caravan you aren't required to have two crewmembers.

anyways, flying to the san juan islands would be fun. Its a really nice area in the summer, and look forward to solid ifr in winter.

So, can you log the time in either aircraft as SIC toward total time? I am a little torn between putting in an app with them when I get back or going back to teaching again to build time.

Any advice would help.

Call them. The CP is a great guy and the whole business (seaplane and land) is very open.

Call dispatch in Kenmore and they can get you in touch with the CP.

A couple of years ago, when the started the Caravans, they were paying 2.5-3K/month to Captains straight salary.

OK, so the way I understand it is, that the two aircraft they fly for the Express Ops, the PA31-350 and the C208 are, of course, rated for single pilot IFR flight. However FAR 61.51 and 61.55 say refer to logging SIC time specifically under the FAA sub parts of the operation if a SIC is required on the certificate. Do scheduled 135 always require an SIC? If not, why would Kenmore in this case?

I am going to make a broad assumption that it counts since after flying with them in the Express FO capacity for a while you can make CA. The first step to making CA is having the requisite times.
