Look at their route map on their website. They have lost the majority of their routes. They no longer have a PDX base.

I just did check their site it still shows PDX to PDT 4 flights and PDT to PDX 3 flights return for Wednesday 17 August

I didn't see that anywhere on their website. Do you have a link to that info?

I'm PDX based, unless I'm flying someone else's aircraft....it's still here. "That's not where I parked my car"

Additionally, what the current rate for the FO and if anyone know if they need FO for the PDX base? I live out in the Northwest and though of maybe apply for them so I could start building time and get the experience on flying a Cessna Carvan. Thanks.

70 hr min, which few people are seeing at the PDX base right now. FO's start at $20. They also have CASS, so no real need to live in base (since you are PNW). We have had guys living in CA, TX, WA, and TN since my time here. Good time building gig imo.

I stand corrected. Just going off the Seaport website which shows nothing for PDX.

Is Seaport in need of F/O right now?

With potential growth on the horizon, you never know. Plus, like any 135 airline, there is always a lot of movement. Upgrades at 1200 TT, so movement is relatively quick. Never hurts to put an application in.

I've applied 3 times in the past year and nothing but crickets. I have a little turbine experience too.

What's your total time if I may ask?

Good luck. It comes in waves. Sometime we have too many FOs and then the next week we are very short handed. I was hired with mid 400 hours but this was when the company was significantly bigger. Best of luck.

You can't just post that and not deliver the news on what actually happened.

SeaPort Airlines

If it's about the FAA fine for operating without inspections then we already know.

Engine inspections skipped= $500,000
They'll negotiate the amount down.

Nope, its a bigger problem than the FAA fine. I'll let their new fearless (read: clueless) leader make the announcement tomorrow. If I say it a bunch of people will jump on me and say I don't know what I am talking about so I'll just let "Da Prez" do it for me.

Staff already knows. Not to make light of the staff predicament. There are some good people working there and I am truly sorry for them. But there are some real idiots who continue to drive the company into the ground.

It's hard to say if you really are sorry.....

Looks Like Pendleton chose to go with Boutique as their next air carrier. Tough news for the Portland based employees.

GreenWater 08-17-2016 10:55 AM

Man that stinks for those guys. Best of luck to them.

That is rough. For what it's worth I'd assume gettin on with Boutique out of there would be easy for the Seaport guys in PDX already.

that's the problem with EAS.. its a merry-go-round. Should have seen it back in the mid 2000's. Was worse than the red light district. Airlines would try to "underbid" other carriers just to knock them out or stretch their networks super thin. Cue Air Midwest, Big Sky Airlines, Great Lakes (aftermath of what led to their current issues).

What comes around, goes around.

Yup. If you wanna jump ship and fly PC12s I'm sure Boutique will hire y'all.

Well I guess things finally caught up with the management (or lack there of) at SeaPot. Good riddance!

7 with liquidation happening starting today.

Yeah finally saw a news article on it. Was flying from Dallas to Lafeyette today and heard Sasquash on the radio. Wonder if they even knew at that point...

How does this affect ADI?

It shouldn't affect ADI at all. ADI has totally separate management, financials, and operating certificate. In recent months, ADI had been working to distance themselves from Seaport.

Walkeraviator 09-20-2016 06:04 PM

That's good news for those guys
