Thanks for the reply. Check your PM.

CRJDriver 11-30-2008 08:37 AM

I've e-mailed SeaPort a few times now with no response. All I wanted to know is if they are hiring pilots...? Any idea? I've also heard they are getting out of the PDX-BFI market? True Ozpilot414? I would love to move back to the PacNW.

Ozpilot414 11-30-2008 11:30 AM

John

Ozpilot414 12-11-2008 07:04 PM

what do you want to know?

E170Driver 12-11-2008 07:19 PM

well i got the DL on the pay, schedule, service, average hours a month etc. I guess i was just wondering how is the QOL? what kind of management structure is there? is it like the 121 world were they cant find the d**k from their a** or do they have it together. Is there seniority? Any plans for hiring in the near future with the expansion of routes in march?

KJSWA 12-11-2008 07:34 PM

Would like some info to if there's enough to go around.

Ozpilot414 12-11-2008 08:12 PM

Okay....

They may hire another crew in the new year
Capts 43 yr
FOs 23 yr
Bases are PDX only but we have overnights in PDT and BFI
We should start flying Newport and Astoria early next year
All training is done in house
New rumor is we are going to SIMCOM for training for the Insurance now but we shall see if that happens.

most work 4 days off three with 2 overnights.
you mostly fly comuter hours.
The flying is easy and the people are nice but we still have our problems like any airline
We own Wings of Alaska in JNU. They have jumspeat with Alaska and Northwest. The DO and CP live up there. Cullen is the ACP down here. [email protected] if you want to send the resume.

Hope this helps......

E170Driver 12-11-2008 08:22 PM

Yeah i just got an email from him today. Said the resume looked good but they arent hiring and he will put it on file.... whatever that means. I'm hoping that doesnt mean "round file!"

CRJDriver 12-13-2008 04:40 AM

I got the same email as well from Cullen a few days ago. Resume is on file. Would be a good gig. Let's hope things will pick up around Spring time.

Thanks to OZpilot for all the info!

EV120 12-13-2008 06:36 AM

Out of curiousity, what are the age(s) of the PC-12's that ya'll have?

paraglidingbum 12-13-2008 02:28 PM

2 of them were made in 1998, the other 2 in 2000. They've aged well though, they still fly like new.

EV120 12-18-2008 05:49 AM

Thanks for the info. I would love to get more details about the operation. Who would be a good person to contact?

hi208 02-01-2009 05:05 PM

Whats new at seaport I wanna know?

Ozpilot414 02-02-2009 07:20 AM

Maybe if your were not a quitter then you would know what was going on.....muuu haaa haaaa :) you should see the schedule for march 15th....445am dep.......yeah going to love that line.....thank GOD for senority...

Spoilers 02-02-2009 07:31 AM

Did Cullen hire another person? What's the latest on hiring? I can never get response from Cullen.

Ozpilot414 02-03-2009 10:17 AM

Okay gents......Seaport will be hiring 3 Capts and 3 Fo's so update those resumes to them and good luck....:)

E170Driver 02-03-2009 11:36 AM

Ozpilot414 thanks for all the info. It’s good to know that there is still a shred of hope for those of us out on the streets.

-John Clinton

Ozpilot414 02-03-2009 07:33 PM

they upgraded a SIC for the one captain that quit....

hi208 02-03-2009 10:49 PM

Who would quit that job!!! Ha ha ha

FastEasy 02-04-2009 07:52 AM

I can tell you that 90 percent of my commercial flying experience has been in a PC12, and anyone that is interested it is an awesome plane to fly. Way more power than a caravan, and performs exceptionally well.

Ozpilot414 02-04-2009 08:06 AM

I must agree.....bag space is something they should work on I think.....

nnichols 02-04-2009 10:14 AM

What should one expect during the interview process at SeaPort?

Ozpilot414 02-04-2009 10:38 AM

IFR REGS duty times for 135 what do you know about Seaport..where do we fly... Real world things....IF this happens what do you do? what if this on top of that happened then what...maybe some airspace questions....its your last flight of the day on Christmas day at night and you find a nav light burnt out...what do you do.....stay consistant.....they guy that will be interviewing you knows ALOT....more than you and me put togeather...thats why i like working for him! good luck

nnichols 02-04-2009 11:28 AM

Thank you. Any questions on the current equipment you fly?

Ozpilot414 02-04-2009 12:57 PM

They never asked me per say but who says he has not changed the questions around since then? If your flying something now I am sure you know the basics on it so I would not worry about it too much.....

CRJDriver 02-05-2009 09:39 AM

Is there anyone else you can email a resume to, or is Cullen the only person?

hi208 02-05-2009 11:22 AM

I think the only person in charge of hiring pilot is Cullen.

Ozpilot414 02-05-2009 12:03 PM

Cullen is than man to send them to. He is our HR for pilots.... I hate to say it but there are thousands of pilots out of work. It sucks I know. He cant get back to everyone. its just reality.....sorry:o

krinkldink 05-20-2009 07:52 PM

I was wondering if Seaport is planning on hiring this summer and/or who can I contact about getting hired. Maybe an email or phone number for Cullen that you mentioned above.

Spoilers 05-22-2009 03:36 PM

I read on another board that they got completely swamped with resumes and that Cullen doesn't want to see any more...
