Default Satsair

Does anybody have any information about this company? I know they fly the Cirrus, and do work in the southeast, but that's about all I know.

SATSair is based out of Greenville, SC. They serve a multi-state area, which includes the entire states of DE, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, WV, KY, TN, & AL. They also serve portions of PA, FL, OH, IN, IL, MO, AR, LA, FL, & MI.

Latest info that I have is that they employ 21 pilots and operate a fleet of 13 Cirrus SR22 aircraft.

Here's their contact info:

Thanks, most of my family is in the GSP area and available aviation jobs in SC seems few and far between.

Still not sure how it works- the pilots have to drive to SC and fly from there or are they home based?

Pay is probably pretty low, but might also be salary position right now (don't know). Since SATSair is a recent start up, I don't know how much business they get. I would imagine that pilots are on call most of the time with minimal guaranteed days off since the pilot to aircraft ratio is rather low.

I have chatted with one or two of their pilots (both older gentlemen that might have been retired from other flying). They both seemed to enjoy the flying and thought that things could go really well.

Why would it be? You can fly any type of aircraft 135 as long as it meets required maintenance inspections/equipment requirements, and you can get people to ride onboard!
