Thumbs down

The article said that he drained the fuel, and was then going to put it back in. My understanding has always been that after you drain fuel from an airplane then that fuel is considered contaminated, and must not be used as aircraft fuel. It can be used as fuel for ground equipment.

Anybody know the regs on this for sure?

Joe

The best thing of this new news of PW shuting down flights is that they let all of us go then they hire a bunch more people then they are able to shut down flying for a week or more to all airports in Hawaii, But they let us go "due to economic reasons"

If they raise the price and reduce flights they must know Mokulala will take their market share. BAD MOVE. They are setting up a law suit. I think GK and GK jr hug each other..

Mokulele.....I dont think that there are any people smart enough to figure that out over there....they all have shinny new jet syndrome...pity...But nothing would make me more happy to see PW pushed into the deep dark crevaces of the pretty ocean they fly over...

Gabriel Kimbrell has been arrested in Miami on charges of grand theft and organized scheme to defraud just months after he was fired from his position as president of New Mexico Airlines (Albuquerque). The charges relate to his tenure at the airline.

According to KOAT news, court documents claim that over the period January 2014 to January 2015, Kimbrell used his corporate credit card, which belongs to the airline’s parent Pacific Wings (LW, Kahului), to fraudulently acquire up to USD22,791 worth of vitamin supplies, personal travel, Amazon items, and gasoline for personal use among others.

Kimbrell was fired from the Albuquerque-based carrier in March after a series of maintenance issues with its fleet of Cessna (single turboprop) 208B Grand Caravans forced it to cancel flights from December onwards.

The downtime subsequently led to a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) investigation which resulted in the carrier surrendering its operating certificate earlier this year.
