Default How's business?

Just wanted to see if all charter operators were slow, or is it just mine? We haven't had more than one or two revenue flights per plane in the last month. just curious...

Yep my company is slow too, I flew 400 hours in 2007 and 288 in 2008 and that is about how much our companies flying is down Around 30%, Thankfully we do alot of organ procurement flights or I believe I would be out of a job. Man I hope it gets better soon for all of us.

Wow guys, things really are bad. I mean for crying out loud UPS furloughing later on in the year? I really was a staunch believer that fractionals and cargo companies were the safest in the whole industry, but after witnessing Flexjet, Citation Shares, and probably UPS later furlough; big egg on my face!

Just hang in there ya’ll. The airline industry is taking the brunt of this recession. I mean other industries are mostly dealing with the bad economy due to credit crunch, but the airlines have a trifecta that they’re dealing with: the economy, effects of high gas prices, and age 65. I guess the silver lining in all this is that it’s going to be very difficult to put together such a nasty environment like this again once it all inevitably turns around; which it will.

Just yesterday I had three RFQ's on charters. One went charter and the other one I convinced them overnight AF. At least we know that people are starting to call again for charters. It's bound to pick back up.

Our company has been real up and down, a couple of weeks ago every pilot was flying for a few days and then we go a couple of weeks real slow, and then busy again. Crazy times in the charter business but those who do survive will be very busy when it picks up. Lets just hope we are at the bottom.
