Recent Breach Could Cause Major Issues
All of us in the part 135 and those of us who are looking into 135 as well as the GA I think could be facing alot of issues with this recent breach in our airspace. Alien flight students will require more screening and there may even be more laws coming into effect when it comes to the security aspect of the operation.
This suicidal guy steals an airplane and flies it across the northern continent and that could raise major issues as far as I see it. HOMELAND SECURITY.
How do you guys see it affecting us in the 135 ops and GA sectors?

As far as domestic ops, I don't think it's going to change things. Now if you are in and out of Canada, you're going to be using eAPIS anyways, so you should be covered. Unfortunately, I think this incident raised the flag to the populace, to something that honestly most sensible folks already knew.

Yep! The next thing you know TSA & Homeland Security are going to want to install secure areas and locked down aircraft parking at isolated airports such Kolignagek, Ekwok, Iggiugig, Stebbins, ad nauseum, just because some idiot might steal an aircraft and make for the Canadian border, or worst yet, Anchorage!
