I went for a visit last weekend to Hyannis and they said they anticipate Oct to be a fairly large class because of the summer with no training. 3-4 pilots in each group going through together. I want to be based in Montana, not only because I hear the pilots there fly a lot, but its commutable and I live in Atlanta. I'm not opposed to moving, but I would rather commute if the stars align. If by chance one of the east coast or Caribbean bases are open at the hubs, that would make it easier to get to from Atlanta. Montana seems like the spot for FOs so I'll plan on that.

Montana is very easy to get right out of training, we base up to 14 FO's out there.

Are the Tecnams still on track to be delivered on time? How long are the 402s going to stick around?

Tecnams are still on track with the first ones being delivered in January. They are projecting about a 5 year period to completely phase out the 402s.

Thanks. Any idea which bases will get the Tecnams first?

Which bases did everyone get? Were you able to put in a request or was it assigned?

What's the training process like at Cape Air? I've been thinking Cape Air and other companies like it lately.

Also, how many hours a month is average for FO's on the Twin Cessna?

Training is pretty straight forward, 2 weeks ground learning about the company and systems, then you will move to the flight portion using the sim and actual plane.

I pick up a couple extra days a month and time out, 120 hours for the month, but mostly if you stick to the normal 4 days on 4 days off you can fly anywhere from 70-90 depending your base.
