By the way, the "not eligible for rehire" or whatever verbiage is used is not in PRIA. It will come up when verifying employment history.

I doubt Cape, or anyone, will tick that box. That has zero benefit for them, but opens up a bunch of legal liability issues.

If you have the integrity to keep your word, it wouldn’t ever be an issue Back of the envelope FYI, 30k doesn’t come close to covering their hit if you walk at upgrade...

That's a completely different issue.
Unlike most 135 training contracts, that contract is very likely enforceable because it has a valuable consideration (your ATP), unlike many others. But that's a question for collection agencies and courts.
But I'm almost 100% sure it has no effect on your PRIA.

I'm talking merely from a legal standpoint. Being a douchebag follows you forever

Default Contract

Correct me if I am wrong, the contract should really be a non-issue. The way I think about it is as follows:

1-I would be at a regional for more than 2 years anyway, maybe longer.
2-I believe the agreements with Jet Blue and Spirit make Cape Air the
fastest way to a wide body jet.
3-from all the research I have done on their website making Capt is
assured as soon as you have your ATP mins. And I believe the
Capt's are making decent money.
4-I am excited about the fleet replacement! You can really tell the
state of a company when they are willing to replace the entire fleet of airplanes.

I believe the contract is worth it! I plan on staying there longer than the 15 months they are obligating me to. Heck maybe much longer if I get to fly out of San Juan!

Any idea if they are still hiring for that class? Or how long it takes for them to get back to you after you apply? And how long does the interview process take before they assign you a class date?

I interviewed about a month ago. And selected that class date because I was still under contract at my current flight school. They got back to me pretty quickly once I interviewed. It was a little over a week later. I have a couple of friends that have also applied and have not received an interview. I am not sure if they are still filling that class. I was hoping to meet some of my class mates on here before "shipping out"!

Default FO Training TL:DR?

Hey all! As we near the November training class, would anyone who's "been there" before be willing to share a TLR report of what to expect with FO training? Items such as daily routine, meals, bidding, *when* you *actually* learn your base, what hotel you stay at, pay, training progression, etc? Anything would be helpful! Thanks, all. Fly safe! :-)
