You can have Guam. I was there in 2008 for a bit. I'm looking to be mid-west based if I can get them to hire me on. I'd love to call the company home. Best interview I've had in a long time.

Hey guys, im new to the site and i have a couple of questions for current Cape Air pilots.

I interviewed on the 15th and was recently offered a class date, I took the April 2nd. Would yall recommend driving up to Hyannis, or is there enough stuff close by that I could survive without a car? The reason Im asking is Air Tran gave me a free round trip ticket to anywhere they fly for stranding me in ATL.

Also does Cape use NOS charts or do I need to study up on Jepps?

Im sure i will have more questions to follow.

Thanks,

They probably still use the Holiday Inn at 1127 Iyannough Road, Hyannis, Massachusetts. In good weather it's about a 15 minute walk. I think most of us had a car in ground school, but a couple of guys didn't but were still always able to get a ride.

Baron55,
Would you mind posting a summary of your times/experience (TT, PIC, CFI, etc.) when you got hired? I know TT and aircraft flown isn't the only factor in an interview, but it gives those of us at the bottom some idea as to current hiring practices in terms of time and experience to be competitive. Thanks!

Glayvin, Rocketman: Thanks for the info.

Brian: Sorry to hear that. Were you in the morning or afternoon interview?

TT: 2950, PIC:2650, Multi: 750
CFI,CFII,MEI: 2000 Dual given
I think what helped me out alot is that my previous jobs relied heavily on customer service, and customer service was stressed numerous times in the interview.

Thanks, Hope this helps

It was mosty HR stuff, the latest interview on www.aviationinterviews.com for Cape is fairly accurate. The only difference i had was on the technical questions, instead of explain a turbocharger, I had explain what WAAS is. And also I had the give me five adjectives that describe yourself. All-in-All it was a very laid back interview.
