Ahh, well I guess I would think that he would just get his pee-pee slapped. This could have been an honest mistake on his part. I could be totally wrong though and some super trooper may decide to make an example out of this fella, although I hope that isnt the case....

I know of a guy that did just this, except it was because he was G1000 incompetent, and put 7500 instead of 7600. ATC was fine with him, just chatted with the manager and was on his way.
