Question G150 ?

How much should a G150 Aircraft Manager/Captain make a year in the lower midwest arenas? Aircraft is to fly 300 hours a year. Two pilots!

20 years in aviation
8000+ Total Time
6000+ Turbine
Management Experience for 5+ years
No time in type

Well a few pilots in the SW that I know make 100k+. then again they're in charge of cleaning the aircraft.

If 91/135 combined is 300 hrs, 125k for the Manager/Pilot sounds reasonable. But if you think you can truley crew it with just 2 salaried pilots, good luck. Having two salaried Captains and a pool of part timers (@$3-400 a day) will be more realistic for your budgeting. Trying to crew part timers for 135 is another story. Keeping part timers for just the 91 flying works better.
I guess what jumps out at me is the 2 pilot scenario. 300 hours is not alot, but it is always a the wrong "life moments" with just 2 pilots. Owners don't like to hear about Pilots having personal problems when they want to fly.
Good Luck.

That's what I've been finding as well for pay.

More than likely we will have part-time help. The insurance is nice, the pilot doesn't have to have a type, just current and sim training within the last 12 months and obviously the 3 t.o. & Land.

No i don't have to wash and clean the plane, I would want another 10,000 for that.

Thanks for the response.

I am guessing the $10K to clean and wash is a joke. Pilots clean the inside for no extra pay, thats part of the job description in a 91/135 op. The FBO/Private Cleaner can wash/wax the outside for a fee each time they do it. If a potential Pilot Hire actually said they want another 10K to clean the plane, without actually having the job already, I would say "next". Good luck.
