Hello fellow drivers,
This has been a very interesting thread, and I'm interested to hear more about any specifics about WHY all the SIC's were dismissed. WHY is it a terrible place to work. Specifics about the place from any current or former pilots. Hours per month? Type of operations? How it is that another 135 operator is upgrading VFR captains at 800 hours, and a further IFR upgrade at 1200TT, yet this one is saying 2000 is required for insurance??? I may be considered for a SIC position- can anyone provide specific details about the experience, work and QOL, for this position of SIC?
I recently became aware of this operator, sent in a resume, received a prompt phone call, and an invitation to interview a week later. What I've read so far has been very helpful and interesting, and I'd like to hear more, and more specific information, if anyone is inclined to provide it.
I can confirm the information given in the long(er) post: that a person named Shane is the DO, and the email I used to get this far was the one referenced, jobs@.........
So, that's where I am, what I know, and what I'd like to know. Thank you, and good day... or nite...

Bill Mishk used to be the head of marketing/sales for Trans States. I guess Hulas didn't need him anymore... and Shane is also their CEO.
Cape Air was just awarded the Kirksville flying, so I don't see the Navajos doing much flying anymore...
And regarding EAS - there is no requirement for FO's - its all dependent on the airplane. You can fly the Caravan IFR without an FO, plus the 'van doesn't really need them - the gear is permanently down

SIC onboard. I prefer SIC's because0 while in the soup, they can find a rocking am station on the ADF

I understand Cape Air requires 2 pilot crews for their St Louis market per AA agreement. Wonder if Air Choice is doing the same in order to be more appealing in prospective contracts.
Can anyone from Air Choice shed light on this?

I called and spoke with someone at Air Choice One yesterday. He told me that he hasn't heard any "official" announcement of hiring but that if I am interested I should send in my resume now. Starting FO pay is $18/hr and CA is $30/hr. All pilots are based out of STL. Said the upgrade time is 2,000tt. Also said there is a 60hr/month garuntee for all pilots. Also said the reason for the hiring push is they are wanting to transition to two crew ops. on all flights. Currently sometimes routes are flown single pilot because of lack of staffing and, let's face it, it's a caravan!
