Anything new with Travel Management Company? Currently hiring? Schedule still 15on/13off? Pay? Interview gouge? Quality of life at the company?

HercDriver130 04-11-2011 01:43 PM

they had ads out for pilots just last week I believe.. so yes... I would think they are actively hiring...pay is sorta on the low side so there tends to be some turnover there even in down times.

Hey. Any word on how long to here back from TMC? Anybody getting hired right now? Thanks.

Not sure. See them pop up on climbto350 now and then. See their planes a lot so they're doing some flying.

Seeking info on TMC from active pilots.

I'm currently working at a 135 gig and I'm looking for a different schedule/domicile.

Could anyone fill me in on competitive experience to interview and what you like/don't like about the gig?

I applied about a week ago, and I'm trying to get a feel for my chances and what I would be signing up for. I have other questions, but I'd prefer to PM some of the details.

Thank you!

I got a phone call from the chief pilot after sending my resume after about 3 months. On the spot phone interview. I turned it down because I don't have my thousand yet. Seemed like decent people...but that doesn't mean much as I'm at the bottom of the bottom feeders. My times are 2700 total, 500 turbine pic...A&P, IA, masters degree. Hope that helps.

Home basing is nice...first and last days on duty are positive spaced airline tix...no fewer than 5 days in a row at home at a time.

I know a lot of Travel Management Company pilots and you are better off without them. The place started out good, but it's going down hill fast...:)

Thanks for the replies so far. From what I've heard, I really don't know how they could be going downhill faster than my current gig.

Any guys out there that are currently working there?

TMC Jets...

This is a response from most present and past Travel Management Company pilots... Friends don't let friends fly at TMC...:)

Thanks for the info, FlyGuy.

I'd like to hear what's so bad about the place from guys that work there. It might not be as harsh as what I'm dealing with at my current company.

Any current TMC-ers out there care to offer a guy some details?
