I know a few former Avantair guys have got on there recently and from what I gather they still may be looking for a few more guys before the end of the year...

Got called last Friday, missed the call, but he called back yesterday. Very pleasant phone interview. About :45 long.

He said he's been very busy the last couple weeks, but is starting to make some calls. Filling a pool, that "drains quickly".

Interviewing in Elkhart on Oct 2.

Hmmm. High turnover rate is usually a good thing in aviation jobs , right? Couldn't possibly be a reason so many guys are leaving, could there? Must be all that airline hiring due to the pilot shortage.....

A friend of mine worked there for a total of 3 months before throwing in the towel. He was getting burned out very quickly working for two weeks straight at a time. I don't know if it is common over there, but do you guys actually fly every single day you are on duty without a day to relax?

3 months huh? Did he have to pay back the training bond? I started in Jan and have averaged between 45-60 hours each rotation since I got on line. We are really busy and fly nearly every day of the rotation.

Yikes! He worked there a while ago,but he got out of paying the training bond somehow. He said the crews were great but just could'nt handle it.

I believe its a 15 day on sked, followed by 13 off. No off days during the 15, no home time, no alcohol, always on call, lots of min rest nights. I think those guys fly about 600h year.
